July 21, 2019Been using a 52” Toro walkbehind for 20 yrs residentially. Moved to a different house and needed something smaller. Decided on the Bradley 36” stander. I had a really nice dealer locally who was very knowledgeable about the Bradley. Mike at Dreaming Tree Landscaping in Canton Oh. I stopped to look at the larger mowers a couple of times before Mike got the 36” in stock. He answered all of my questions and was patient with me making my decision. Once I did Mike made sure my mower was completely set up and ready to go. Blade heights adjusted properly, tire pressure correct, oil levels checked, everything greased and entire mower wiped down and ready to go.
This is my first hydro mower. There is a bit of a learning curve from having used a belt drive for 20 yrs. First impression, this thing is built like a tank. Mower runs smooth and cuts great. I have a flat back yard. My front yard has a 10 degree slope. It mower this with no problem.
There are 2 reasons I did not give this mower 5 stars.
Reason 1: no hour meter. For a mower that relies on maintenance being done on an hour schedule this should have been included. I bought one from Amazon and installed it myself for $10.
Reason 2: this is by far the biggest reason and the one I believe needs to be addressed. The engineers at Bradley dropped the ball on this one. The gas tank. The gas tank is located behind the thigh pad and under the top plate for the key switch, choke an blade control buttons. Which means when trying to fill the tank you are unable to see into the filler neck on the tank. If your gas can does not have a long spout you will have trouble even reaching the tank. It takes great care when filling the tank to make sure you do not over flow the gas. There are a number of ways I believe this could have been fixed.
Moving the filler neck to the back of the tank instead of the middle.
Angling the filler neck.
Raising the filler neck long enough to come through the top plate.
Adding a see through window to the gas tank itself.
I am sure there are other ways as well. I would not count this as a deal breaker but I would love to see this fixed.

January 23, 2020This mower was better than expected for the price.It does everything I ask of it.25 hp is a lot of power for a 36 inch mower.I have old bad painful feet with very little discomfort standing on this machine.I wish it had an hour meter and an easy access gas fill cap area but made adjustments on day one and never looked back.sealed ungreasable bearings save so much time.Greaseables are for people that don't like to spend their time making money.Id much rather take an hour to replace a bearing once a year than spend hours buying grease and greasing every couple of days.All my equipment has gone towards ungreasables.Saved me tons.Thanks guys.I will be back for more product.

January 31, 2020For the money this is a great mower. Great cut and powerful mower. You will pay almost double for any mower like this one. I suggest paying the extra $35 for a hour meter. The only thing I don't like is the gas tank. Its hard to pour gas in tank without spilling a little and you cant see how much gas is in the tank. Other than that its a great mower. Would definitely recommend buying.

March 30, 2020I love this mower the only issue I have with it is that it is way too short for me. I'm 6'5" and having to bend over to control it kills my back. Also can someone tell me how much it weighs? There are no resources to find this specification anywhere on the website or online

April 07, 2021I purchased this mower last year and I must say this machine is a beast I primarily use it for backyards and bagging grass but it can do everything my primary mower can do alot of power. Could use some creature comforts alot of exposed metal to bang your legs into a bit uncomfortable if you are 6 ft and over. I would definetely purchase another one

June 12, 2022I,ve had this mower now for two years. Best mistake I made to date. I thought I was getting a 36" walk behind brushmower. I received a 36" stand on finish mower. After seeing it I had to use it. It cut my mowing time from 2 days to 2 hours. Quick learning curve to operate. Hills can to a problem for zero turn mowers but I've learned compensate. Very well built.

October 12, 2022I love this mower, built super tough. They've added the hour meter like people had been asking for. I don't have any problem filling the tank like people had complained about, so I suppose they fixed that too. I got the chute block, super easy to install and does a fantastic job. The only things I would change is the placement of either the parking brake or the dead man's switch. Having them both on the same side can be a little confusing at first. But I'd prefer the parking brake on the side of the chute so it doesn't get caught on bushes and things as I mow.
It's been a pleasure doing business with them, the customer service has been fantastic. I highly recommend.

October 17, 2022Great bang for the buck! I purchased this 36” stander for my own residential property and couldn’t be happier. I needed the narrow deck to get thru narrow pool gates and was worried it would take forever to mow the larger grassy areas due to the small size. However I was pleasantly surprised with the speed at which I could cut due to the powerful 25 hp engine. It never gets bogged down even in wet/damp conditions. Older reviews mention the lack of an hour meter but mine came equipped so that seems to be an improvement they have made. I also do not have any issues filling gas into the tank as the filler neck is plenty wide enough to see down into it. Overall this is a great machine at a fraction of the competitions price for the equivalent models.

October 18, 2022Recently purchased the 36 Stand-on and it has performed flawlessly, significantly decreasing my mowing time for the back yards with small gates i service. With the 25hp on both the 36 & 48, it eats tall lawns without bogging down. I am on the second season with my 48 stand-on with zero issues. The customer services is second to NONE and had my purchase on-site in 10 days!!! The Staff even checked up on me to ensure all was going well with my purchase and if any further assistance was needed.

October 23, 2022I purchased the 36 inch stand on mower from Bradley, and I have been very pleased with the entire purchasing process, from ordering to pickup from the freight depot. The machine is a beast. The hydro-drive wheels are strong and the machine carries me around while cutting heavy grass without a hitch. I am over 300 lbs. A suggestion for those like me, going from pistol grip mower to this version, take a small pool noodle and cut two lengths to fit over the control handles. Then when you push for forward or pull back for reverse, you have to squeeze with effort to overcome the resistance of the pool noodle material to go faster. Gave me time to get use to the machine without accidentally going to fast during the acclimation period. Buy this machine and you won't regret it. The machine has an hour meter, fuel gauge and tilted fuel neck.

For reference, I've had my Bradley for a few months now, put about 175 hours on it. Long story short I would buy it again and recommend it to friends/family/ commercial guys.

Here's my extended thoughts so far
1)buying/shipping/uncrating process: all aspects in this process were as smooth as can be ordering such a large item directly to my home. I was helped by Brad who was helpful with any questions and keeping me updated along the way. Shipping was fast even during a busy time. The mower comes in a metal crate so have to be prepared to deal with that.
2)Use: the mower has held up relatively fine with only minor inconveniences. The quality of cut is okay with mulching blades, better with medium lift blades and great with high lift blades, as long as you're not worried about spraying debris 20 feet away. With the 36 in model it's extremely important to keep the deck scraped to get a good cut. For some reason those I know with the larger models this isn't as much of an issue. Also, pay attention to grease schedule as I had a bearing in the castor seize even though it was/is relatively new. Speaking of castors, pneumatic castors provide a much nicer ride then flat free castors when coupled with the suspension platform, but I did get a flat within the first 100 hours(could be user error, still was disappointed). The handles are a little short for guys above 5'10 but as of the time of writing I've heard they're coming out with extensions to avoid slouching. This is the first stander I've owned but I've driven a few and this is comparable in terms of responsiveness of steering. The commercial turf 25hp runs great, starts easily, only needs choked when it's cold and I've ran it through some thick grass I've never heard it bog down (north eastern tttf , kbg, weeds etc). Now that I'm into leaf season I've noticed no matter the type of blade, my 36 in model has some blowout of leaves from under the deck. Not sure how to fix this or if it's just a factor of life. Those I know with larger decks don't experience this. I have a newer model so it has an hour meter and gas guage. Parking break should be on the right side somehow, it's very easy to get it snagged on something mid stripe
Pros/cons: obvious pro is the cost. Unbeatable especially with the quality. I'm not sure how they do it, I almost feel the need to write an in depth review because their advertising presence is almost non existent but more people need to know about Bradleys. Another pro is it gets people like me off of walk behinds/sulkies and onto a stander. Complete game changer for my health, mood, ambition to mow, as well as efficiency. Cons I've mentioned but real minor stuff besides the leaf blowout, I'd like to use this year round as leaves are a big deal up here but I just can't justify the finished product with the leaves blowing out (maybe I am picky but I'm not the only one)

Final thoughts / TLDR: buy one. You won't regret it. Either as a backup or a full time mower, the price is Unbeatable, the customer service is great and at the end of the day, it makes tall grass short

One of the main reasons we chose Bradley is because of their willingness to learn about their customers. Keeping what is great and redesigning what could be better on their equipment. We chose a 36" stand on and cannot wait to break it out in the spring. This mower is built like a tank and has all the features we were looking for. Our company will happily support Bradley Mowers with more purchases in the future!

February 28, 2023SLE here in Nashville had the 36” on FB market. I had been looking and praying for a stand on, that was affordable to me. So when I came across this I was thankful. It does the job and more. Ppl sleeping on Bradley Mowers. Best kept secret. Plan on buying a 52”.

May 06, 2023Great machine! Lots of power for tearing down thick grass and the 36" deck not only has a quality cut but excellent for getting through gates. My only draw back with this particular model is the only have one version of a grassflap for it, not a big deal but would prefer more options for blocking the chute without drilling into the deck. Other than that I love the 25hp Briggs and the simplicity of this machine.
